Here are some of the countries that are in the Commonwealth Games. Niue, Fiji, New Zealand, Canada, Cook Island, South Africa, Samoa, Tonga and much, much more.

It’s a big event because it showed all around the world.

There are 17 sports in the Commonwealth games.

In the Commonwealth games there’s 6,500 athletes.

In the Commonwealth game the 17 sports they are Aquatics, Netball, Athletics, Rugby, Badminton, Shooting, Boxing, Squash, Cycling, Table tennis, Gymnastics, Triathlon, Hockey, Weightlifting, Judo, Wrestling and Lawn bowls.

The first Commonwealth games were held in 1930 in Hamilton, Canada.

The Commonwealth games have taken place every four years, but not in 1942 and 146 because of the World War ll.

In 1930-1950 the event was called as the British Empire games. In 1954 the event was called British Empire and Commonwealth game. It change to British Commonwealth games in 1970. The event now was transformed into Commonwealth game 1987 and has not been changed.

Australia, Canada, England, New Zealand, Scotland, and Wales are the only six countries to have attended every Commonwealth games.

The Commonwealth games are also known as the  friendly games.

Australia hosted the Commonwealth games five times, New Zealand and Canada four times.
