Netbook Reflection 2013

This year was my first year with a netbook at school.

What I like about online Maths

It’s easier than pen and paper and I learn more Maths with video demonstration. Online Maths can take me to websites about all sorts of Maths, just like Xtramaths helps me to learn my basic facts faster , Math whizz helps me to learn new things and much, much more. Another reason why I like online Maths is because it gives me an opportunity to accelerate math that kids around Glenn Innes knows.

What I like about online writing

It’s easier to type in my netbook than writing on paper. For me, if I’m writing in my netbook it really helps me with my spelling because I can use spell check, but then I just need to remember to learn the words that I did not know.

I really enjoy having the opportunity to have my netbook.

My Friends

My friends are Sarona, Sapphire, Mya, Sisilia, Martha, Chloe, Ane, Gianna, Efilona, Taylah and much, much more. I’ve made a lot of friends at Pt England School because we stick up for eachother. When one of us feels sad or un happy of things, we will make them feel happy again.My friends are really cool, intelligent , funny, special people that i met at Pt England School.

Maths club

In term 2, 2013. Mr barks started to create a math club for some people in room 22 and i was one of them. I like maths club because Mr Barks taught us a lot things for maths for us to get to our level of maths, for an eg 4/6 of 42= 28. He taught us new and confusing strategies, just like 4/6 of 42= 28 because 6x7=42 so 4x7=28. thats why i got my answer . Thats why I like math club.

Writing and Reading

Reading is important to me, because when i read i find new interesting words for me to learn. I use these new worlds and put it into my writing. Another reason why reading is important to me, because without reading i will not know how to read math questions. The more i read the better and if i get stuck on a world, I just ask what is that world to someone around me or ask the definition to my teacher. I enjoy reading and writing.

When the year 7's went to Action World and I stayed home.

The day that the year 7’s went to Action World on Friday 6th of December and i stayed home.

I stayed at my nana’s house on the day that  the year 7’s went to Action World. My Nana, little brother Makiroa  and i did a lot of gardening at the backyard. My brother Makiroa was raking the grass and i was digging holes and pull the old roots out for the new flowers to grow for next year.

It was muddy and Icky. But I saw Makiroa having a whole lot of fun, so I just had to live with It. After that i had help Makiroa plant the strawberries because he made a lot of mess. The mud was everywhere and all over his face and body, it was a disaster.

A while later, after all of that hard work we earned pocket money and It was worth it . I enjoyed help my Nana at the backyard.

Geronimo Stilton- Its Halloween, you 'fraidy mouse!

I have chosen this book because Geronimo Stilton books are one of my favorite books and it is interesting to read.

Sarona and Helen's Writing

My friend Sarona

Hi my name is Helen. I have a good friend named Sarona. She is 11 years old. Saronas favorite colour is green. She only has one brother named Ray.  She has five sisters. Her sisters names are Nu’u, Chantelle, Kathleen, Ane and Yvonne.

Her favorite hobby is basketball and rugby. Sarona loves dogs and kittens. What I like about her is when she tells me funny stories and funny jokes. There are lot of special things about sarona, but to be honest this one is the most special thing that I know about her. Sarona  is a caring and sharing person, so when she sees little kids or friends crying she will make them feel happy again.

Recipe for our sandwich

has the recipe..

INGREDIENTS

two slices of  white bread

three slices of avocado

lettuce

two slices of  cheese

 four slices tomato

Two slices of  ham

another pile of ham

Mayo to spread all over your bread

first  you take your mayo and spread it on  your  slices of bread.

then you take your lettuce and  just simply put it on you bread.

And then you put two slices of ham and another pile of ham.

On top of the ham place four slices of tomatoes on top of your ham.

Two slices of cheese on top of your tomatoes.

Then place a little bit of letters and finally place your three slices of avocado and simply put your last piece of bread on top of your avocado.
Enjoy your sandwich.

Tech

On Thursday’s I always go to tech.I really like going to tech because I am in this group called graphics. It is really fun because I learn how to do 3D shapes and all sorts  of stuff.But we have to co-operate if we want to make 3D shapes. .I learned how to make this cool flower but it is really hard we had to listen to all the instructions he had to say.So we could make something really cool and interesting.

Triathlon

On Thursday we had triathlon after morning tea.We had to line up in a line up into two lines.Then we walked down to the field because that’s where we were going to have the triathlon.Their were three event’s swimming,biking and running.Room nine teen was there because they were racing us at triathlon.The first class to do the triathlon was room 19 girls.They had to start on the start line.when they got their they had to do twenty star jumps.After they had done twenty star jumps they had to run to the transition and grab one of the bikes they had to put their helmet on first and then push the bikes out of the transition.As they were riding the bikes all the way to the finish line we were cheering for room nine teen.So room nine teen put there bikes in  transition and ran all the way to the finished line.Then it was time for room twenty two they all done biking and running then we had to go.

Camp Argument

Against:When I go to the beach we can feel yucky little things in the sea!!!!When I go to sleep my back hurts and when I wake up it hurts.Camp Activities are sometimes fun but I get bored and we want to play other games with my friends.It is too cold to go swimming but it is fun to go swimming when it is sunny.I don’t want to go to camp because we don’t want to.So Chloe Helen and I think that we should not have a year 7 and 8 camp this year.This was made By Sarona Chloe and Helen.It is boring because we don’t pick our own tents to sleep in.Swimming in the cold,sleeping outside in the tents,.When I go to the beach you can feel yucky things in the sea!!!When I go to sleep in the tents My back hurts and even when I wake up!! Camp activities are fun but sometimes it get boring like when you don't want to do it you have to do it and this is way I don't want to go to camp.This was made from Chloe Helen and Sarona.

When i was little....

When i was six years old my cousin Ranane ( six years old) had a long stick i turned around she dropped the stick it scraped my nose and made a big mark in the middle of my nose. it was bleeding, i covered my mark on my nose and i started to run around like i was on fire. I ran to my mum she said to me “what happened to you”. i told her, she told Ranane to not play with the stick.


I still remember when i was five years old our whole family was in Australia for my cousins 21st birthday. Me and my cousin Iva (six years old) and Teariki (three years old) we were playing hand games, my brother Makiroa (one years old) saw a big knife on the table. He grabbed the knife and banged the part where you hold the knife on to my head. I had a big line on my head. My brother got in trouble for playing with the knife and i got in trouble for not watching him.


When i was four years old, my cousin Dannar (sixteen years old) was cooking fried chips. when she was finished with the fried chips, she turned the stove off she gave me some chips she went to get something in her room. I grabbed the chair and put it nexts to the stove, i climbed up on the chair and put the wet sponge on the stove. The sponge started to burn my cousin came back from her room. she said what happen to the stove. she told my mum then i got in trouble.
