Netbook Reflection 2013

This year was my first year with a netbook at school.

What I like about online Maths

It’s easier than pen and paper and I learn more Maths with video demonstration. Online Maths can take me to websites about all sorts of Maths, just like Xtramaths helps me to learn my basic facts faster , Math whizz helps me to learn new things and much, much more. Another reason why I like online Maths is because it gives me an opportunity to accelerate math that kids around Glenn Innes knows.

What I like about online writing

It’s easier to type in my netbook than writing on paper. For me, if I’m writing in my netbook it really helps me with my spelling because I can use spell check, but then I just need to remember to learn the words that I did not know.

I really enjoy having the opportunity to have my netbook.

My Friends

My friends are Sarona, Sapphire, Mya, Sisilia, Martha, Chloe, Ane, Gianna, Efilona, Taylah and much, much more. I’ve made a lot of friends at Pt England School because we stick up for eachother. When one of us feels sad or un happy of things, we will make them feel happy again.My friends are really cool, intelligent , funny, special people that i met at Pt England School.

Maths club

In term 2, 2013. Mr barks started to create a math club for some people in room 22 and i was one of them. I like maths club because Mr Barks taught us a lot things for maths for us to get to our level of maths, for an eg 4/6 of 42= 28. He taught us new and confusing strategies, just like 4/6 of 42= 28 because 6x7=42 so 4x7=28. thats why i got my answer . Thats why I like math club.

Writing and Reading

Reading is important to me, because when i read i find new interesting words for me to learn. I use these new worlds and put it into my writing. Another reason why reading is important to me, because without reading i will not know how to read math questions. The more i read the better and if i get stuck on a world, I just ask what is that world to someone around me or ask the definition to my teacher. I enjoy reading and writing.

When the year 7's went to Action World and I stayed home.

The day that the year 7’s went to Action World on Friday 6th of December and i stayed home.

I stayed at my nana’s house on the day that  the year 7’s went to Action World. My Nana, little brother Makiroa  and i did a lot of gardening at the backyard. My brother Makiroa was raking the grass and i was digging holes and pull the old roots out for the new flowers to grow for next year.

It was muddy and Icky. But I saw Makiroa having a whole lot of fun, so I just had to live with It. After that i had help Makiroa plant the strawberries because he made a lot of mess. The mud was everywhere and all over his face and body, it was a disaster.

A while later, after all of that hard work we earned pocket money and It was worth it . I enjoyed help my Nana at the backyard.
